We’re a team of payroll professionals who have worked exclusively with small and medium-sized businesses since 2014 so we understand all the intricacies involved in SME payroll processing.
Once you’re set up with us, we’ll manage all your staff salaries and produce accurate payslips every payday, for all your staff members.
We calculate tax, NI and statutory payments such as sickness and maternity, as and when required, and reflect these on the payslips accordingly.
Our team provides payroll reports containing a summary of the figures processed on your payroll. All our reports include payroll summary, pension summary and HMRC reports as standard.
As a fully managed service, we also cover all your reporting responsibilities as a UK employer. This includes Real-Time Information returns and quarterly/monthly liabilities in line with HMRC deadlines and GDPR rules.
Our account managers have legal documentation in place to enable them to liaise with HMRC as your payroll agent. Your account manager will be available via phone and email Monday – Friday (9am-5.30pm) to quickly answer any of your queries and provide hands-on support whenever you need it.

The Pensions Team
Our Pensions Team handles the set-up and management of all your staff pension schemes through NEST.
They’ll calculate the pension contributions due for every staff member and display these amounts on each payslip.
Other auto-enrolment duties include monitoring your employee’s status, managing opt-in and opt-out requests and completing your Re-declaration of Compliance every 3 years.
The IT & Dev Team
Our IT and Web Development team built your Quartz Members Area so you can easily manage all your payroll reports, payslips and tax documents in one place.
IT & Dev are also responsible for our holiday and salary calculators.
With this dedicated team on board with us, we have the latest tech in our software used to run your payroll to ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency in all our processes.
The Marketing Team
Our Marketing Team manages the Quartz website and all your customer communications to facilitate a smooth set-up process.
They also manage our partnerships including our accountancy referral program which enables accountants to easily transfer clients over for dedicated business payroll management.
