Holiday Calculator

As with all employees, your employee has a legal minimum holiday entitlement. It is your responsibility as a small business employer to state your employee’s holiday allowance in the contract of employment and administer holiday pay where due.

Use the Quartz Payroll holiday calculator below to work out how many days or hours your employees are entitled to, based on their working week.

Please note, that this calculator should only be used to calculate holidays for employees on a fixed hours contract.

If your employee will be working on a variable hour basis, please speak to a member of our team, who will happily calculate this for you

By law, a full-time employee is entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks (28 days) of paid leave per annum. Employers can choose to offer more than the legal minimum if they wish. Holiday can only be taken as it has been accrued.

Full-time employee

Bank Holidays

Bank Holidays are included within the 28 days entitlement. Therefore, if your employee were to take a Bank Holiday off, it will be deducted from their holiday entitlement.

Bank Holidays do not have to be taken and the holiday days can be taken at another time, providing an agreement has been reached between the employee and the employer.
